Anyone can participate in the exams of the Examination Board for Secondary Education, regardless of age, nationality, or previous education. The exams take place digitally at the exam center in Brussels.

Step 2: Log in to the candidate platform
After watching the information videos, you can log in to the candidate platform. Preferably use Google Chrome or Edge, as the platform does not work well with Apple Safari.
You need an electronic identity card and a card reader. Always log in with your personal identity card or digital keys, even if you are a minor.
Youths between 12 and 18 can also use digital keys. They can activate them with their eID on my digital keys.

In the candidate platform, choose a grade and a study direction. You can register for the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd grade and even multiple grades at the same time.

The registration fee is 41 euro. You pay for your study direction, not per exam. There are various payment options, including bank transfer, online payment, and training vouchers.
Request approval via a notification in your candidate platform to pay with training vouchers. After approval, you can schedule exams.

Schedule your exams via the candidate platform. You will find all subjects and the calendar with exam dates there. Schedule your exams on the available dates and at your own pace.
